Pack your bags and grab your passports – you're coming on a whirlwind tour around the world with the London Philharmonic Orchestra! In this exciting family concert, we will introduce you to some of the countries the LPO has visited on its recent tours around the globe.
Travel from the hustle and bustle of New York to the sunshine of Spain, taking all sorts of transport: from train to metro to taxi! Get a glimpse of the Orchestra's life offstage as we share musicians' tour snaps as we go. Featuring music from Gershwin's An American in Paris to Brahms's Hungarian Dance No. 5, this family concert is the perfect introduction to the music and instruments of the Orchestra.
This concert is aimed at children aged 6 and over but family members of all ages are welcome.
Come and join the party! 10.00am–12.00pm
Throughout the morning there are free musical activities around the building offering a fun and interactive way-in to the concert, and opportunities for children to ‘have a go’ at different orchestral instruments under expert instruction.'Have a go' sessions recommended for children aged 6 and over.
