The Band
The Band is a group formed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra Community and Education programme.
We welcome talented young musicians aged 15-19 from Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. We work together to write and perform our own new music, influenced by the group members and the musical styles that they love.

Lambeth Country Show
This summer, The Band took to the Lambeth Country Show's 'Cultivate Stage' in Brockwell Park, Herne Hill, giving another rousing set of their own compositions.
It was the first time that the group have performed outside the Royal Festival Hall and a great opportunity to showcase these talented local young musicians within their own community. After their performance the group hosted a jam session where members of the audience could come and play along with The Band.
