St Paul’s Cathedral Choral Evensong and Tour

Enjoy Choral Evensong from reserved seats in the Quire, followed by a tour of areas of the Cathedral not usually open to the public. These include the triforium, geometrical staircase and the library, which includes some important musical scores. The evening concludes with a glass of wine in the Chapter House.
Reception at Russian Ambassador’s Residence

Thomas Beecham Group Patrons are invited to a very special event to celebrate our festival ‘Prokofiev: Man of the people?’ The evening is kindly hosted by the Russian Ambassador, His Excellency Aleksander Yakovenko, at his private residence. Guests will be treated to a short performance by London Philharmonic Orchestra musicians, as well as an interview with festival curator Vladimir Jurowski, followed by a buffet supper.

In recognition of the support given to the London Philharmonic Orchestra by the members of the Thomas Beecham Group, we have named the Orchestra’s concert on Saturday 24 March ‘The Thomas Beecham Group Concert’. Following the performance, there will be a special dinner for Thomas Beecham Group patrons, along with artists and musicians from the Orchestra.

Behind the Scenes: Around the World with the LPO

This popular behind-the-scenes evening will take a closer look at touring with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and also shine the spotlight on the harp, one of the Orchestra’s more unusual instruments. From New York to China, and everywhere in between, the Orchestra leads an active touring life, so come along and hear from our touring team about exactly how to transport such an enormous Orchestra around the world! Harpists from the LPO will provide the music for the evening, as well as sharing their own experiences of life on the road. This will be coupled with a drinks reception on arrival and a post-talk informal buffet supper served in Henry Wood Hall’s crypt.

After the tour you will have the chance to visit the rest of the Museum at your leisure. You are then welcome to finish the visit by having lunch in the Museum café and exploring the newly opened gardens.
