LLOYDS TSB

In April 2008 the London Philharmonic Orchestra performed a private concert of Elena Kats Chernin’s Wild Swans Suite at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall. Approximately 750 Lloyds TSB guests, drawn from Corporate & Private Banking clients along with representatives from the Board, were joined by 100 prize winners from a competition that ran in the two weeks prior to the concert on Classic FM.
Hosted by Classic FM’s Jamie Crick and Lloyds TSB Chief Executive Officer, Eric Daniels the Orchestra performed the full suite under the baton of conductor Stephen Barlow and encored the famous “Eliza Aria” that has been featured in the Lloyds TSB “For the Journey” advertisements.
Nigel Gilbert, Group Marketing Director explains why a partnership with the London Philharmonic worked for them:
Inviting our most important clients and senior stake holders to a private performance of our signature music, Wild Swans provided a unique experience for our guests. Our partnership with the London Philharmonic Orchestra helped create PR around our advertising campaign whilst also providing stunning entertaining and an unforgettable concert performance for those who attended.
