Since 1974 Aviva (then known as Commercial Union) have supported the London Philharmonic Orchestra. As the name and brand of the business has evolved so has the nature of support; from sponsorship of the Orchestra’s regular concert season at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall to a unique performance to mark the 750th anniversary of Salisbury Cathedral as part of the Salisbury Festival, engagement with pioneering education programmes and most recently exclusive sponsorship of the Orchestra’s Principal Conductor, Vladimir Jurowski.

We are very excited that Aviva will be joining the Orchestra as official International Tour Partner for the first time later this year. This support will allow the Orchestra to perform in renowned concert venues all over the world with the great conductors and soloists of our time. The first tour will be to Australia in October 2009 consisting of nine concerts finishing with a grand finale in Melbourne Arts Centre’s Hamer Hall. Future touring destinations will include China and South Korea in the 2009/2010 Season.

DEUTSCHE BANK

Deutsche Bank

Bright Sparks

Deutsche Bank have been supporting the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s BrightSparks schools’ concerts since 2001 and by creating the Deutsche Bank Free Tickets Scheme, their generous funding ensures that school children and their teachers in the greater London area have the opportunity to experience a performance of the Orchestra for free. In the 2008/2009 season the concerts were attended by over 23,000 individuals from 373 schools.

As part of a wider Association of British Orchestras initiative to give all school children the opportunity to experience a live symphony orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra has doubled the number of concerts per year from six to twelve and Deutsche Bank’s continued support has been instrumental in assisting this development.

Kate Cavelle, Head of Deutsche Bank Citizenship UK explains why a partnership with the London Philharmonic Orchestra works for them:

"Watching a live performance of a world renowned orchestra is a unique experience and not one that everyone has the opportunity to access. By working with the London Philharmonic Orchestra for the past 9 years we have been able to extend this fantastic opportunity to thousands of young people each year. This partnership epitomises our commitment to arts and education - it provides opportunities to those most in need and has a true and lasting impact on the students and teachers that attend."
