Contemporaries Committee

Contemporaries is headed up by a Committee of passionate members who meet on a quarterly basis and work alongside LPO staff to deliver our annual series of events and to help increase our membership.

Current Committee Members

Dr Wiebke Pekrull  Chair

Originally from: Schwerin, Germany
Profession: Management Consultant with McKinsey & Company
Best Contemporaries moment: Sitting in the Royal Festival Hall with only 25 other people in the audience listening to an amazing rehearsal of the LPO followed by a glass of champagne.

Siobhan Cervin

Originally from: Auckland, New Zealand
Profession: Senior Associate, Herbert Smith Freehills LLP
Best Contemporaries moment: Champagne Saturday! Joining the LPO behind the scenes for rehearsal in an otherwise empty Royal Festival Hall was a fantastic experience, and followed of course by champagne with members of the Orchestra. Our private viewing of the recent Carsten Höller exhibition at the Hayward Gallery was also a highlight.

Josh Coger

Originally from: Grew up in Houston, now lives in London, but calls Ottawa home
Profession: Marketing Manager for Aviva Investors
Best Contemporaries moment: The Sipsmith Bar at the interval is always a winner, but the best has to be the annual Christmas Party! Even if it results in off-key carolling and a sore head the next day!

Rossella Nicolin

Originally from: Venice, Italy
Profession: Structural Engineer
Best Contemporaries moment: The Christmas Party definitely tops the list of great Contemporaries activities outside the Southbank Centre. Belting out Christmas Carols with mince pies and mulled wine cannot be missed.

Giovanbattista Patalano

Originally from: Castiglione delle Stiviere, Italy
Profession: Business Director
Best Contemporaries moment: The interval drinks during the concerts are great moments to socialise with other Contemporaries and talk about the music with complimentary cocktails.

Natalie Spraggon

Originally from: Auckland, New Zealand
Profession: Architect
Best Contemporaries moment: Tricky - it has to be a tie between sipping cocktails and trying on the Duchess of Windsor's jewellery at a Sotheby's preview evening and my first visit to a Glyndebourne dress rehearsal.
