On Saturday 22 March 2014 at Brighton Dome, the London Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Joseph Swensen gave a concert comprising works by Wagner, Bruch and Tchaikovsky. They were also joined by violin soloist Liza Ferchtsman.

Here are the press reviews...

'The loud and dynamic orchestra captured the purely distilled dramatic and emotional essence in the complex piece in a stunning marriage of melody and technical prowess. A perfect showcase of the transcendent power of live classical music.' (5 stars)
Joe Fuller, The Latest, 24 March 2014

'The great romantic masterpieces of late-19th century composition need the great symphony orchestras of today, a synergy wondrously demonstrated by the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Brighton Dome. Wagner, Bruch and Tchaikovsky demand a colourful range of tonal effects, total dynamic control and the ability to produce a magnificently powerful sound. They got it.'
Louise Schweitzer, The Argus, 24 March 2014
