★★★★☆ ‘14 LPO instrumentalists, together with the four members of Synergy Vocals, showed that [Music for 18 Musicians] could become the repertory work it deserves to be. This was a performance of tremendous concentration and sustained energy.'
‘Played with perfect understatement by the LPO, it was unexpectedly affecting ... Jesus’ Blood has a genuine heart.’ Andrew Clements, The Guardian, 16 March 2017

★★★★☆ '[A] bristling, pulsating tour de force of punchy rhythms and driving ostinatos ... the energy and commitment of the performers was inspiring, greeted by the audience with an immediate standing ovation.’ Bernard Hughes, theartsdesk.com, 17 March 2017

‘The performance was deeply moving, the London Philharmonic totally engaged.’ Amanda-Jane Doran, classicalsource.com, 16 March 2017
