As well as an extensive programme of working in schools, the London Philharmonic Orchestra also works with young people outside of formal education. The focus of our work is in providing excellent ensemble and performance opportunities and allowing young people from all instrumental backgrounds (orchestral, non-orchestral, western, non-western, acoustic, non-acoustic) the opportunity to play alongside professional musicians. Our projects also encourage young people to write, develop and rehearse their own musical ideas.
