What age range is FUNharmonics for?
Children of all ages come to the concerts, although they are mainly aimed at 5-11 years.
Will the hall be completely dark?
No, we keep a low level of auditorium lighting throughout the concert, so that you can always see and move around safely.
How long is the concert?
Each concert lasts 1 hour, starting at 12.00pm.
What should we wear?
There is no dress code – wear whatever you like!
When should we arrive?
The concerts begin promptly at 12.00pm. The Royal Festival Hall is a large building so we encourage you to arrive in plenty of time to help you find your seats without a rush. From 10.30am there are lots of FREE activities in the foyer areas. More information >
Can we go in and out of the hall during the concert?
Yes, you can leave and re-enter the concert during the performance. However, as leaving from the middle of long rows of seats causes disruption to families around you, we encourage you to stay seated for the whole concert wherever possible.
Do we need to know anything about classical music to enjoy the concert?
No! These concerts are suitable for everyone, and will introduce the Orchestra and the music they play in a FUN way.
